After Queen Victoria, her eldest son, born Albert Edward, was nicknamed "Bertie". He was seen here in 1841, when he was young, with his wife, Princess Alexandra, and three of their six children. : Princess Mary, Prince Albert Victor and Prince George, who will later become King George V.
