Iman explains how much her late husband, music icon David Bowie, is missing in a new interview with Porter's online magazine.

The model and makeup artist born in Somalia, 63, was married for 24 years to the singer "Let's Dance", who died of liver cancer at the age of 69 in January 2016.

Almost three years later, she still considers herself married to the musician – and will never consider saying "I do it" to anyone.

"I go never did you remarry, "Iman told the magazine. I mentioned my husband the other day with someone, and they said to me: "Do you mean your late husband?" I said, no, he will always be my husband. She concedes, "I feel very lonely. But do I want a relationship? I can not say never, but no, not now. "

Lexi, 18, shares her mother's sorrow. Earlier this year, Iman revealed that his mother and daughter received tattoos as a tribute to the second anniversary of Bowie's death.

Even though Iman understands that Bowie's fans have also been devastated by her shocking death – the rocker kept her secret cancer diagnosis – she says their pain does not match the anxiety she's in, Lexi, and Bowie's son with his first wife Angie Bowie, director Duncan Jones, suffered.

"I understand the grief of the fans, but it's not the same thing. They lost someone whom they admire; we lost a husband and a father, "said the legend of fashion.

"And sometimes," she continues, "I do not want people to know how sad I am.

"People tell me," Oh, you're so good, "Iman added," I'm not strong. I'm just trying to stay together. "
