The dead who walkAMC
I was happy to see the episode last week of The dead who walk to have his notes slightly at least a little, returning to $ 5 million after falling below him the previous week. The episode, Warning Signs, is one of the best I've seen in a long time and at this point I have to make a risky statement saying yes, The dead who walk is really good again.
This has not been the case in the last two years, as the show is at its lowest point in terms of quality for the entire film, with the exception of one or two of Negan War's strong points. episode of more than 32 years. But now we're at four episodes of Season 9 and, after watching tonight's video, without saying anything more, I'm always impressed by the evolution of the situation. Tonight's episode has not been missed yet.

If a key element makes everything work is that writing is much, much better. The writing is the root of everything. Better writing produces better performances, as evidenced by Norman Reedus who works hard with all his new lines. Or, say, seaside women produce a truly heartbreaking and moving moment at the end of the last episode, when they are characters that do not interest us otherwise. Good writing also creates more logical conflicts and scenarios, as we see in this split between Maggie and Rick, and this realistic shortage of supplies among communities that probably should have occurred long ago in these apocalyptic conditions.
Kang seems to realize that The dead who walk was at its best when it was a character drama first and then a zombie action story. The Negan war was all about brutal killings and frenzied shootings, but all
"Action" in the world has not made it really good. Season 9 may be a little slower, but the result is better.
I'm worried though about one thing. Kang was in charge of the impossible, overseeing the departure of Rick Grimes from Andrew Lincoln, who runs the entire series. AMC has already indicated how many episodes remain to Rick. So it's not a spoiler, but if you do not want to know anything, come back now.

Rick left, not in the season finale or mid-season, but very very soon in episode five, next Sunday. I do not know why there was this We're in a hurry to get him out this season, maybe with his contract, but that's what we're going to do.
I'm afraid that, despite all the improvements we're seeing, killing Rick is not bad, no matter how he's managed, and that the series will be struggling without him.
