YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK –
Forest rangers in Yosemite National Park identified the two dead as a result of their fall from Taft Point. According to National Park Service officials, Vishnu Viswanath, 29, and Meenakshi Moorthy, 30, died on Wednesday, October 24.
Both were Indian citizens and lived in the United States.
According to a LinkedIn page, Viswanath worked for Cisco in the Bay Area.

Officials said the two men had dropped about 800 feet in a steep terrain. Their bodies were found the next afternoon by the Park Rangers, who had to use technical techniques of climbing and rappelling to get to the place. A helicopter from the California Highway Patrol was also called to ask for help.
The couple seems to have a travel blog associated with an Instagram account where he posts photos of his travels across the United States. On an image, Moorthy sits on the edge of the Grand Canyon and, in the caption, mentions the danger of standing so close to the side to capture the image.

Another picture shows Moorthy from a different angle at the edge of the Grand Canyon.

It is not yet known how the couple fell from Taft Point to Yosemite.
