The times of cruel language and criminal offenses of Madea are about to end.

Tyler Perry, 49, revealed on Monday that he was eliminating this iconic character next year, almost two decades after everyone was introduced to the weapon-carrying grandmother.

"That's it," Perry told host Bevy Smith on Monday on his SiriusXM radio show, "Bevelations." "It's time for me to kill this old (expletive) I'm tired!"

Do not worry. Madea will make a final appearance during a farewell tour and, in 2019, of Tyler Perry's "Funeral Family Funeral", but, to believe Perry's confession, it may be that the secular matriarch is buried.

"We're going to say goodbye in (2019)," said Perry.

His reasoning? "I just do not want to have her age playing it." Perry has been playing Madea since 1999 and debuted with the infamous "I Can Do It Alone" character.

Despite the permanent removal of makeup and wig, Perry will probably hold Madea close to his heart. The character – based on his own mother, aunt and Eddie Murphy – has played more than $ 500 million worldwide at the box office with 10 films "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps".
