The Eagles are 4-4 after playing half of their 2018 schedule. The first half was disappointing, but they are still alive in the division.
Here is a quick assessment of each offensive player in the lineup at the moment. We will evaluate each player in the defense tomorrow:
Josh Adams: The rookie was finally part of the rotation at the eighth week. He did not have high expectations, but he was OK: B-
Nelson Agholor: Weird season for Nelly so far, with an average of just 9.1 yards per receiving. I think it's more of a game plan than him: B
Brandon Brooks: If you have not noticed offensive guards for eight weeks, he does his job: A
DeAndre Carter: He did not do much offensive, but became a good punt revenge in the absence of Sproles. He did a solid job: B
Corey Clement: The season was disappointing for Clement. He was injured and is now behind Wendell Smallwood on the depth chart and averages 3.3 yards per race. He did not have a lot of chances, but he must draw more from those he gets: re
Zach Ertz: Do not look now, but Ertz is about to experience one of the greatest statistical seasons in NFL history … and not just for a close end: A +
Nick Foles: He started two games and the birds went 1-1. Not much to do for Foles: C
Shelton Gibson: The Eagles need a speed receiver and Gibson can not get to the field. I partly blame the coaches for that, but some have to be Gibson. At least he's a very good shooter: C
Dallas Goedert: The rookie had a modest performance as a receiver but had three touchdowns. And he has already revealed himself the best blocker of the team: B +
Alshon Jeffery: Dude, did the Eagles miss this guy? Since his return, Jeffery has 29 catches for 341 yards and four touchdowns. He was a No. 1: A
Lane Johnson: A year ago, after a season reserved for professionals, Johnson was not playing at his best and was injured twice. It was not a good first half of the season: C
Jason Kelce: Although he never admits, Kelce looked hurt at the start of the season, but he's starting to look healthier after a shaky start: C +
Jordan Mailata: We have not seen the Australian in action yet, but he has never played football. He is part of the team and has shown enough to be active some days: B
Jordan Matthews: He was not even on the team at the start of the season, but he finished fourth on the team and made a few key shots in the third run: B +
Josh Perkins: I will probably never understand why the Eagles played so much against Perkins early in the season. He has five catches in eight games: C-
Jason Peters: I credit him for playing with injuries and 75% of Peters's players are still better than a lot of tackles in the NFL. But he set the bar so high: C
Matt Pryor: We have not seen Pryor this season yet: Incomplete
Isaac Seumalo: After a shaky start at the left guard post when he was put there, he plays well. And his versatility / ability to play well proved very useful: B
Wendell Smallwood: He was not supposed to be part of the team and he's now leading the team fast. Give credit to the guy: B +
Darren Sproles: It is unfortunate that Sproles has been absent since the first match: Incomplete
Nate Sudfeld: He looks pretty damn good by holding this clipboard: Incomplete
Halapoulivaati Vaitai: He has played 177 shots so far this season and he did not look good. The Eagles need more of him: re
Chance Warmack: Has not been on the ground, which is telling. And he is paid for not having almost played: D
Carson Wentz: What this guy does after an ACL operation is remarkable. Ding him for a few things if you want, but he's playing at an incredibly high level: A
Stefen Wisniewski: I did not think Wiz was playing badly when he ended up on the bench. He did not take it well: C
