ATLANTA – Severe Weather Team 2 Thursday, because the chance for rain and storms goes up dramatically.

Showers and thunderstorms from Mississippi will be moving into Georgia in the morning and into the afternoon. Some storms could turn severe, with tornadoes and damaging winds possible, mainly in southwest Georgia.
On the Channel Action News Nightbeat at 11, Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Glenn Burns Meteorologist said impacts during the day could be down, tree limbs and power lines being brought down.
