Stamos and his wife Caitlyn McHugh I have occasionally shared pictures of their son since his birth in April.
Kimmel also has a son named billy. In 2017, the host made the headlines by announcing on his show that McNearney had given birth to the boy, their second child, and that he had undergone an emergency cardiac operation to treat a congenital anomaly.
Last month, Kimmel and Stamos met at the fundraising gala at a children's hospital in Los Angeles, where the TV host joked by informing the actor that his son was too young to babysit.
"John has only one child, so he does not know, 18-month-olds can not keep a six-month-old child, no," Kimmel said.
"What about Janecan she look at it? Stamos asked.
"Um, no, she's four, she's too young to look in. They must be at least 14 years old," Kimmel replied.
"You're not good with me," Stamos told him.
