Some Starbucks fans who were looking to get their Friday holiday drink dose were caught off guard when they tried to order via the company's app.
Starting Friday, the company began offering six holiday beverages – peppermint mocha, grilled white chocolate mocha, caramel burnt latte, praline chestnut milk coffee, spice bread milk coffee. and eggnog milk – available in hot or iced broth. It's a week to 10 days earlier than previous years.
Starbucks will debut with a seventh drink later in the season. Guests can also get special holiday pastries, such as a Danish chocolate and pie bun.
The company also uses the season to encourage people to use reusable cups. He offers a free reusable red cup to customers ordering a Friday drink. Customers who use the mug will get a 50 cent discount on their drinks order if they order after 14 hours.
