Grab your umbrella! Heavy rain and even some thunderstorms will dampen your Friday evening.
Heavy rain is expected in the D.C. metro area from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. Gusty winds and a quick inch to inch and a half of rain are possible, Storm Team4 Meteorologist Amelia Draper says.
Afternoon temperatures will be in the low to mid-70s before the heavy rain arrives.
Storm Team4 says the rain is likely to continue into early Saturday morning, but it should come to an end before 8 am Saturday.
Sunday will be better half of the weekend. Expect temperatures to start out Sunday around 40 degrees and highs in the mid to upper 50s.
Rain returns to the forecast for Monday and Tuesday before we turn seasonably chilly and dry by mid-week.
