Tom Brady, perhaps the biggest quarterback in football history, is poised to mark a turning point in his career.
After 261 games, Brady is 3 yards out of 1,000 yards. It took him nearly two decades to get to that point, but Brady has a chance Sunday night to become the 97th quarterback in the history of the NFL to run for 1,000 yards.
You may think that's the kind of milestone Brady is making fun of. You would be wrong. On Friday, Brady released a hype video in which you can relive some of the most memorable races of his career – from his 40-yard combine harvester ride to Brian Urlacher's juke – while "The Dark Knight Rises" "plays in the background.
As for the hype, it's a good example.
Obviously, Brady's racing abilities are … let's call them limited. He is the best sneaker in the league, but beyond that, he does not do much with his legs, he sails subtly in the pocket.
