  • Dr. Pimple Popper (whose real name is Dr. Sandra Lee) has published dozens of button button videos in 2018.
  • INSIDER has rounded some of the best below.
  • Warning: This message contains videos and graphic images.

Dr. Pimple Popper (also known by his real name, Dr. Sandra Lee), a dermatologist for a significant year. She played in her own TV show on TLC (which was renewed for a second season even before the end of the premiere), appeared in "Jimmy Kimmel Live!

All the while, she continued to update her YouTube channel with button videos for her growing clientele. (Current number: over 4 million.)

And although the end of the year is not over, Lee has already released memorable videos of cysts, blackheads and other skin growths appearing in the body's largest organ.

Here, in no particular order, are some of Dr. Pimple Popper's best videos from 2018. Stay tuned throughout the year – INSIDER will update this list as new appearances interesting ones will appear.

The dilated pore of Winer

What is better than a blackhead extraction? A giant extraction of blackheads.

This pop was one of Lee's first publications in 2018 and remains one of the most watched of the year, with more than 8 million views to date. It has a dilated pore of Winer – which is essentially a giant black spot obstructing an extremely large pore. Go to the minute before the first big compression.

The burning cyst

In a February video, Lee discusses a rare skin problem on his canal: an angry, red and inflamed cyst.

Rather than removing the cyst, Lee opts instead for an "incision and drainage" procedure, in which she cuts the skin and drains what is inside the bump. It helps reduce the risk of a dangerous infection in the inflamed cyst, explains Lee on YouTube, but it's also a real fascinating pop. When the contents of the cyst actually start to flow, it forms a long, almost square tube, thanks to the shape of Lee's cup in the skin. It's almost surreal.

It's a slowly unfolding pop, the kind of saga that you can relax and watch with popcorn (if you like that kind of thing). Or, if you are impatient, go to the 4:50 mark.

The "endless surprise black dot"

This June video begins with Lee showing ordinary black dots on a patient's nose. Then, the patient reveals that she has another black dot, a giant, hiding behind her ear. No wonder Lee named this video "Endless Surprises for Blackheads".

The black dots represent everything the fans dream about: it's much bigger than it looks from the surface and it comes out in one solid block. In fact, when Lee posted an excerpt of the video on Instagram, one speaker called the black dot the "next level". Look at it from the next minute:

The cheek full of oatmeal

In this February video, Lee opens and cuts an epidermoid cyst, a typically harmless growth consisting of dead, moist skin cells trapped in a confined space beneath the skin. The contents of this cyst often resemble cottage cheese. This one looks like oatmeal.

The juicy "steatocystoma squeeze"

From time to time, Lee treats a patient who is also a fan of pimples. In this June video, she treats one of these patients – and even allows her to don a pair of gloves to squeeze her own steatocystome. (It is a cyst containing mainly skin oil or sebum.)

During the procedure, the patient also meets relatives at home who react to the pop in real time. Increase the volume to get the full effect.

The patient "extremely brave" with bumps on his private

With over 5 million views at the time of writing this article, this January video is one of the most popular of Dr. Pimple Popper's 2018s. In this video, the patient has hundreds, all located on his scrotum.

The bumps are painless and benign, according to an article published in 2017 in the Journal of Medical Case Reports. But Lee's video reminds viewers that even technically innocuous growth can have very real and very negative impacts on the patient's life. Lee recently told INSIDER that she was deliberately trying to send this message in her videos.

Watch her squeeze and remove the bumps below, and you'll see exactly why she called this patient "extremely brave."

The "noodle lasagna"

Food metaphors continue with this stellar cyst-pop, first published on YouTube in July. Just warning: There is a lot of blood before the big gain, when Lee squeezes the growth and the contents come out in a long flat ribbon. ("It's almost like a lasagna noodle," notes Lee during the video.)

Look at it all if you can stand the bleeding, or go to 8:19 for the real pop.
