The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning on Friday night in parts of Maryland, including Prince George's, St. Mary's and Charles counties.
WASHINGTON – Heavy storms Friday night caused widespread wind damage in northeastern Maryland, causing two deaths and several buildings in the Baltimore area.
A line of storms crossed the CC and Baltimore regions during the night, causing wind gusts of up to 70 miles at the hour. The roofs were damaged and several buildings were severely damaged in Baltimore and Carroll Counties.
In Baltimore, a 50-foot wall collapsed in an Amazon Fulfillment Center, the Associated Press reported. Two people were killed, officials told WTOP on Saturday, and another person was taken to the hospital.
Near Dundalk, the roof of an apartment building on Georges Court moved 42 people overnight. Damage on the roof, fallen cables and felled trees have also been reported in Harford County and Baltimore City.
In Carroll County, NBC Washington reported severe storm damage in the vicinity of Mount Airy. Meteorologist Doug Kammerer said many trees had been felled and some buildings had suffered considerable structural damage. A gas station has its awning pulled out:

The video posted on social media from a TJ Maxx department store showed a partially collapsed ceiling:
"A TJ Maxx, a few mobile homes and other houses were badly damaged. Many trees have fallen and power cuts have also occurred in this region, "said Kammerer, adding that a" tornadic signature "was visible on the weather radar, where the most significant damage was reported.
The National Meteorological Service issued a tornado warning for Mt. Aerated area around 22:30 There had been no official confirmation of a touch by the tornado from Saturday morning.
A building inspector has condemned Home Goods and TJ Maxx because of serious damage to the roof, a spokesman for the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company said. He also said that the storm had damaged three mobile homes in the Pheasant Ridge mobile home park.
