The tenth week of the college football season was rich in paper games and sparked fun and answers. The 25 best confrontations with elite teams from all the conferences began to influence the course of the last month of the season.
Alabama and Clemson have continued to part with the pack, as they play at an elite level going down the stretch. Notre Dame, Michigan and Georgia will play the last two playoff spots, but can not afford a mistake.
Ohio State, UCF and West Virginia survived, but are out of the week. The Mountaineers narrowly escaped Texas Longhorns with Will Grier's last-minute touch, shocking the Longhorns at home.
A crowd of other Top 25 teams lost, causing havoc in our poll. Groups of five have begun to invade the ranks as major conferences have become less important. This gives lesser known schools the hope of strengthening their prestige and profile.
The Bleacher Report's expert group – Matt Hayes, David Kenyon, Adam Kramer, Kerry Miller, Brad Shepard and Ian Wharton – voted on the action. A first place vote is worth 25 points, followed by 24 points for the second, 23 for the third, and so on.

One of Saturday's most popular games was a major win for the Michigan Wolverines. The team of Jim Harbaugh has taken his revenge on three of the opponents to which it fell in 2017. It remains only to finish the round to defeat Ohio State on November 24th.
In the midst of Penn State's 42-7 spraying, the Wolverines had no dominant offensive performance on the part of an individual. The running game set the tone of the offensive by presenting a physical appearance for which the Nittany Lions had no answer. The execution of both sides of the ball was comparable to that of other elite teams.
A total of 95 rushing yards added to three games, and the offensive needed only a few pieces from quarterback Shea Patterson to put the game out of reach in the second half.
The most impressive was the defense of coordinator Don Brown. The Nittany Lions managed to find solutions as the games progressed, but Brown's unit continued to swarm in quarterback Trace McSorley. The Nittany Lions can not say as much, except Tommy Stevens' late touch.
The Wolverines have their destiny. With Rutgers and Indiana on the Ohio State front deck, they must stay healthy and be hungry. The Buckeyes continue to appear vulnerable, but The Game is still hotly contested.
Harbaugh and his staff deserve praise for not succumbing to external pressure after their untimely defeat at Notre Dame. This team has regularly improved throughout the year and continues to impose its will.

Both SEC matches were held in chalk, with both Alabama and Georgia strangling their respective opponents. Alabama continues to thwart the LSU offense on an annual basis, with the Tigers finding little space to operate in a 29-0 loss. For Kentucky, the lack of depth and speed of the team prevented them from giving Georgia a better match than the 34-17 final.
LSU and Kentucky will still be among the second-ranked competitors as Alabama and Georgia take a crash course for the SEC game.
Beyond them, it was not an ideal day for the rest of the SEC contenders.
Florida seemed to forget that she had played a game Saturday, losing in an embarrassing outing against Missouri in front of her home crowd. It was amazing to see Tigers quarterback Drew Lock perform against a quality defense, but the Gators made it easy for the receivers to open all the way through the day. -midday.
Another SEC quarterback shined like an outsider. Texas A & M collapsed again in the fourth quarter, while his attack was stalled and his defense was too relaxed. Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham finally looked like the bandit hope that the team was hoping to become when he was transferred from Baylor in July 2016. He made the difference with his tight shots in the last two Tigers.
The only team that stands out is the Mississippi, who beat the Louisiana Tech 45-3.
The conference brings together many defense teams, but the lack of constant offensive from Florida, Texas, A & M and Auburn has led to this cannibalization. They must continue to evolve their passing games to maximize the impressive defensive strengths they have formed. Otherwise, Alabama and Georgia will continue to dominate the conference.

The 2018 Heisman Trophy race lacked drama because of the genius of Alabama 's quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, and it' s now a race that promises to be over, at the same time. exception of a last month unleashed marginal contenders. LSU's defeat by Alabama continued to fuel the best of Tagovailoa's history, which totals 344 yards and three touchdowns. Tagovailoa's statistics are absurd, even though he launched his first interception on Saturday. His complete control over a tidal dominant offense left no room for debate on who deserves the most Heisman.
Some of his peers fell, reinforcing his claim.
Will Grier, of West Virginia, made a miraculous comeback against Texas this week, including with an incredible touchdown winning pass with 16 seconds to go. But his three interceptions against Kansas and his 100 yards against the Iowa State are traces on his resume.
Dwayne Haskins from Ohio State was also fantastic. But the Buckeyes collapsed around him and he was not as good as Tagovailoa. The QB of the tide has put a silly bar.

Fresno State at Boise State (22:15 ET Friday): Two of Mountain West's competitors will face off in a major game on Friday night. Fresno State has a one-game lead over San Diego State for the West Division, while Boise State needs a win to follow the Utah State. The Bulldogs have not played a competitive game since losing to Minnesota in the second week of the season. This figure is therefore the first for quite a long time.
Auburn at Georgia (to be determined): Alabama has demolished LSU, so the focus is on the next best crop of the SEC. Auburn made an impressive comeback in the fourth quarter behind Jarrett Stidham's outstanding performance against Texas A & M. He can replicate that performance, the Bulldogs will have to work hard to win at home. Georgia's demolition of Kentucky was a good reminder of his potential, but he can not be caught sleeping.
State of Mississippi in Alabama (to be determined): Will there be an emotional decline for the Crimson Tide after a masterful performance? Not likely, but the tide will face a Bulldogs physical team. MSU Head Coach Joe Moorhead will have to make ephemeral production one way or another, otherwise the match will be another explosion by the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Clemson at Boston College (8pm Saturday): There is no doubt that Clemson has found his rhythm in recent weeks. It seems to be the second best team in the country. Two magnificent halfbacks will be in the lineup, as Travis Etienne and AJ Dillon – as long as Dillon (the ankle) is healthy enough to play – will try to lead their teams to a crucial victory. Boston College would represent the ACC Atlantic Division in the title game of the conference if it wins.
Washington State, Colorado (to be determined): Any hope on the part of the Pac-12 to participate in the college football game rests on the state of Washington. Mike Leach's pumas are complete and able to win the rest of their matches. But Colorado is not a game of hope, especially if star receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. is healthy enough to play.
State of Ohio in the State of Michigan (to be determined): The cure for a sick offense was to play the Buckeyes. These teams usually play defensive battles against each other, but the Buckeyes had to win shootouts most weeks. With headquarters still warming up for Ohio State defensive personnel, a strong performance would be helpful.
