NYC Weather: AccuWeather Alert Against Heavy Rain and High Wind On Election Day

NEW YORK (WABC) –

Voters in the tri-state region will face a storm that will move into the region on polling day.

According to AccuWeather forecasts, rain is expected to arrive Tuesday morning.

It will become more widespread and heavy in the afternoon, with thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds of up to 40 to 50 miles at the time.

The strongest of the rain will be down in the early evening. Temperatures will remain mild throughout the day with a maximum of 65.

On Wednesday the sky will be clear and the weather will be mostly sunny with a maximum of 60.
