Deputies said Ramos then used a wheelbarrow to load his body into a van and bury it under a fire at the River City church early Friday morning.

IN FASHION NOW:

The sheriff's officials said that Ramos had sought the help of two friends to arrange a robbery at the home of Alicante. The friends, both minors, are also in detention and face numerous criminal charges.

According to investigators, Ramos and his mother quarreled about a D that he had attended in a class after returning from an event of police explorers at the Volusia County Fairgrounds exhibition center Thursday night.

The investigators said that Ramos had rushed to his room, going out around midnight to go to his mother's room and strangle him with his hands until he thought that She had died.

Ramos went out behind his house to retrieve a wheelbarrow, investigators said, before going back inside and finding that his mother had not died.

He told the investigators that he then strangled her for about 30 minutes until she died, according to Sheriff Mike Chitwood.

Investigators said Ramos dragged her mother's body out of the house in the wheelbarrow before loading her into the family car and heading to the Daytona Beach area.

During his trip, he decided to return home to pick up a shovel and call two friends, who helped him tidy up the electronics for burglary coverage of the house, investigators said.

He and his two friends then buried Gail Cleavenger's body and went to fetch a soda from a Circle K, according to Chitwood.

According to investigators, Ramos went to school the next day and called 911 to report a break-in after returning home. The investigators said that he had also told law enforcement that his mother had disappeared and that his van was still running in the alley.

According to the sheriff's office, the details of his story add nothing to the detectives, and Ramos later confessed to killing his mother and involving his friends in an interrogation.

During the interrogation, Ramos told a detective that he wanted to become a homicide detective, according to investigators.

The deputies said they had recovered items removed from the house during the burglary, including a computer, a Playstation 4, a rifle and other items.

MPs also found a shovel and broom used to bury Cleavenger and straighten the scene around the fireplace.
