Authorities were looking for a suspected armed and dangerous suspect on Friday after a morning shootout in a hospital in New York State.

The suspect, identified as Joshua Stuart, would have been in his forties and would have been seen for the last time with a flannel shirt, jeans and white sneakers, reported the Hudson. Valley Post.

Police said no one was injured during the shooting that occurred at approximately 1 am at the Ellenville Regional Hospital in Ellenville, about 99 miles north of New York City.

No other details on the set were available.

Stuart fled into a vehicle that was later found abandoned in Napanoch, reported the WABC-TV television channel in New York.

Police have asked anyone with information to call the New York State Police in Middletown at 845-344-5300.
