A New Jersey couple traveling to their wedding in Pittsburgh was killed by a trailer that collided with their vehicle.

The Pennsylvania state police said the accident occurred in the afternoon of November 14th. A tractor-trailer traveling west on I-78 in Windsor Township, Pennsylvania, was unable to stop in traffic and struck a passenger vehicle, the pushing to the back of another trailer trailer. The collision finally caused a chain collision involving five tractor-trailers, the police said.

Police said that two people were killed and three others injured in the accident, which caused "violent shooting" in the car and two of the semi-trailers.

One of those killed was Kathryn Schurtz, 35, from Jersey City, New Jersey, police said. Schurtz's obituary said she was traveling to Pittsburgh with her fiance, Joseph Kearney, for their wedding when the two men were killed in the accident.

According to an article on the Facebook page of Fanwood District, New Jersey, Schurtz was the daughter of Fanwood's former advisor, Karen Schurtz. Her obituary indicated that she was working as a Platform Partnerships Manager for Oracle Data Cloud in New York.

Private David Beohm, of the Pennsylvania State Police, told ABC News that the authorities had not been able to identify the vehicle that was driving the victims because of the damage done by a fire. The police also ignore the cause of the accident.
