Johnny Bobbitt, the homeless military veteran who received $ 400,000 for him from supporters, will receive all the money, even though fundraisers would have squandered it.

The lawyer of a homeless man in Philadelphia, whose altruism has raised more than $ 400,000 through an online fundraising page, reportedly said the couple who created the fund spent the money to amass a collection of shoes and expensive vacations.
Johnny Bobbitt's lawyer, Jacqueline Promislo, told The New York Post that the couple had started spending the money just after depositing it into their bank account.
"They went shopping," she told the newspaper. "[Bobbitt] told me that they had a Louis Vuitton bag and Chanel sunglasses, a new iPhone 10. "
She said that a forensic expert will review the account and verify the allegations. "But now that they say that there is no money, where did he go?"
Kate McClure and Mark D'Amico are the couple accused in a lawsuit brought by Bobbitt for mismanagement of donations collected through GoFundMe. The couple denies the charges in the lawsuit, saying they are reluctant to give big money to Bobbitt because they fear buying drugs.
GoFundMe spokesman Bobby Whithorne said the company was working with law enforcement to ensure Johnny Bobbitt gets all the money raised for him after using his latest 20 dollars to help a woman get gasoline.
McClure and D'Amico's lawyer did not respond to the paper for comment.
McClure set the page up to give Bobbitt, a Navy veteran who helped her when she ran out of gas on an off ramp to Interstate 95 late one night. He raised more than $ 400,000 from more than 14,000 people.
Bobbitt took a few steps to buy McClure gas. She did not have money to repay it at the time, but sought it a few days later to give him the money and visited him a few more times to bring him food and water. . They later appeared on shows like "Good Morning America" and were interviewed by the BBC.
The relationship has deteriorated since.
D'Amico told the Philadelphia Inquirer that he had spent $ 500 worth of GoFundMe money playing because he did not have his casino card one night, but had paid it back with his winnings.
D'Amico said Bobbitt spent $ 25,000 in less than two weeks in December on drugs, on top of paying overdue bills and sending money to his family.
The couple also bought Bobbitt a camper with some of the funds and parked it on land that the McClure family owns in Florence, New Jersey. But Bobbitt became homeless after D'Amico told him in June that he had to leave the property.
Fallon said Bobbitt had received about $ 75,000, including the camper as well as a 1999 Ford Ranger.
Promislo called Bobbitt "nice" and said that he had enjoyed Kate very much.
