COUNTY FULTON, Ind. (WNDU) – Three brothers and sisters were beaten and killed by a van while they were boarding a school bus early Tuesday morning in Fulton County.

The truck driver, Alyssa Shepherd, 24, from rural Rochester, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon. She was charged with three counts of reckless homicide and a leader on a school bus with the extended safety arm causing injuries.
Shepherd left Fulton County Jail on Tuesday night.
The accident occurred around 7:15 in block 4660 of Indiana 25.
The three children who died are from the same family. They were identified as Xzavier Ingle and Mason Ingle twins, and their 9-year-old sister Alivia Stahl.
"He did not lose a child, he lost all his children," said their uncle Elgin Ingle. "What are you saying to your little brother, how do you tell your little brother that it's going to get better?" You can not.
A fourth child was injured and airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. He was identified as Maverik Lowe, 11 years old. He suffered several fractures and wounds. The police claim that he was aware at the hospital and was not related to other children who were beaten.

Our school corporation suffered a tragedy this morning. We learned that three students had died and that one student was seriously injured and flown to a Fort Wayne hospital while he was being hit by a vehicle while he was getting on his bus.
We have deployed all school counselors to meet the emotional needs of our staff, students and parents.

A neighbor who did not want to be identified said he heard the buzzer on Tuesday morning. After her dogs started acting strangely, she walked outside to see what had happened.
