The Jaguars are back, baby. In 2017, the Jacksonville team that won the AFC title looks like an anomaly. Jacksonville is struggling to get an impressive performance at a consistent level this year.
Jacksonville really paid the price for a sloppy game Sunday in an air fight against the Bills in Buffalo, while foolish decisions cost a Jaguar touchdown while a massive fight broke out that resulted in the expulsion Leonard Fournette and Bills defenseman Shaq Lawson.
The Jaguars were tied with Buffalo 14-14 when Blake Bortles went up to Donte Moncrief for a touchdown. Moncrief won a jump ball for the score and spent about 20 minutes struggling to keep possession of the ball.
While he and Levi Wallace were on the ground, Hug, Fournette and Lawson got involved in a massive fight.
Both men were expelled for punching, which became extremely important as the Jaguars needed Fournette to be the backbone of their attack. Fournette, at that time, had 95 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He was playing really well.
In addition, Fournette would have been really nice to take place in the next game, because the touchdown was actually reviewed and reversed and the ball was placed on the 1-yard line.

Jacksonville is again in trouble, reminding everyone that success is fleeting in the NFL. Not just season to season, but play to play. The Jaguars seemed to be able to at least hit the road and win a big win against a team they slaughtered last year. Instead, they lost that shot with questionable performance and returned to Jacksonville 3-8 and closer to first-place overall than the playoffs.
