Firefighters responding to reports of an electrical fire in a Houston church have found no sign of fire, but have discovered an illegal gambling hall inside, have announced the authorities.
Four people were found Friday stuck in a room containing 100 slot machines at the Word of Life Church, KHOU-TV reported.
The person who reported the fire told the authorities that he was locked by an electronic lock, reported KTRK-TV.
The Harris County Sheriff's deputies took several people out of the building, handcuffed, before releasing them. One person was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
