The unidentified victim was found around noon in Colorado, between the communities of Highland Haven and Kingsland, said Burnet County Sheriff's Office Captain Tom Dillard.

In about a day, a river in central Texas reached an almost record level, causing the collapse of a bridge, flooded houses and evacuations.

The Llano River climbed to nearly 20 meters Tuesday in the city of Llano – about 20 meters higher than it was 24 hours ago – The national meteorological service stated.
A few miles away, in Kingsland, the swollen river was thrown for hours atop the RM 2900 bridge, causing its collapse, showed a video of CNN's affiliate, KEYE. Nobody appeared to be on the bridge and no injuries were reported immediately.

The video of Darlene Walthall also showed the river that was washing the full length of the beach before the collapse.

The Llano County Emergency Management Bureau ordered people living a quarter of a mile from the river to evacuate on Tuesday morning.

The Llano River meets the Colorado River at Kingsland. Homes near Colorado have been flooded, said Terri Kleen, a resident. The video she posted on Instagram shows water rising to the top of the boat dock structures.

Law enforcement officers were helping people in the flooded areas, she said.

Governor Greg Abbot on Tuesday issued a disaster statement for 18 flood-affected districts, including Llano County.

"Texas is taking immediate action to address the threat of severe weather and floods occurring in the country," said the governor in a statement.

In the vicinity of Marble Falls, Dale Heath recorded video of a car stuck in the rough water of Backbone Creek, a tributary of Colorado.

The flooded communities are about 90 minutes north-west of Austin.

The 39.91-foot Llano River ridge in Llano was just below the 41.5-foot record recorded in June 1935.

The river is expected to retreat until Tuesday afternoon, but is expected to remain at the major flood stage – over 23 feet – but Wednesday morning.

Brandon Miller of CNN, David Williams and Gianluca Mezzofiore contributed to this report.
