A Florida man reportedly admitted to police that he hit a 7-week-old girl in the head after being frustrated with changing diapers and being charged with first-degree murder Monday, reported Fox 13 Tampa.
Artem Eydelman, 29, was home alone with the girl, Gwendolyn Eydelman, on Nov. 17, when the alleged incident occurred. Largo authorities were summoned home after reports of a child not responding. His biological mother was at work. Eydelman reportedly started going out with her mother while she was pregnant.
The emergency team is working to stabilize Gwendolyn at home and take her to a nearby hospital where she is resuscitated. Eydelman reportedly told the police that he had found the girl insensitive. We do not know who called 911.
Gwendolyn was removed from the survival system and died two days later.
Eydelman reportedly admitted to having hit the girl in the head and shaking her to rid her of her frustration by changing her diaper. The girl suffered a severe fracture of the skull and several fractured ribs.
He was charged with first degree murder on Monday.
The Tampa Bay Times said that he was also facing two counts of violation of his probation for robbery and trading in stolen property.
