A Spanish-speaking employee, Taco Bell, lost her job after a video broadcast online showed her that she was refusing service to an English-speaking client in Florida.

Alexandria Montgomery shot the video in the predominantly Spanish-speaking city of Hialeah. In this document, the employee argues with Montgomery and says that no one on the spot speaks English. The video has been viewed over 100,000 times.

Montgomery told USA TODAY that she wanted to order a quesadilla at the meeting. She posted on social media that she thought the employee could understand her but refused to serve her anyway.

The video released Wednesday shows Montgomery arguing with an employee who speaks mostly in Spanish.

"Nobody here speaks English?" Montgomery asks.

The employee shakes her head: "No," she says.

The video description of Montgomery calls the shop "racist": "This lady understood what I said but did not want to take my order by speaking she does not speak English."

Taco Bell has issued an e-mail statement on this topic: "This does not meet our expectations for customer experience. We quickly worked with the client to make sure this did not happen again. The individual no longer works for the brand. "

According to a 2016 US Census estimate, over 90% of Hialeah residents speak Spanish.

Montgomery told USA TODAY in a written message that Taco Bell apologized to him and offered him a $ 100 gift card. She says that she did not take the gift card.

During the video, the employee told Montgomery that she could not take his order and that Montgomery should leave to help other customers, according to a translation published in the Miami Herald.

"Honey, I have a car behind you," quotes the publication quoting the employee. "Can you move please? I have an order behind you. There is no one who speaks English. "

The employee threatened to call the police, according to the Herald.
