According to eyewitnesses, students from two high schools in the Houston area reportedly engaged in a huge food battle after the football game, sending garbage, drinks and even trays through a Whataburger restaurant, reports KTRK.

The schools, which both report to the Clear Creek Independent School District, would now be investigating the case and will take appropriate disciplinary action if necessary, according to a statement obtained by the station.

Caleb Johnson, a Clear Lake student who filmed some of the aftermath of the fray, shared a short video clip on Twitter on Friday night, accompanied by a caption: "Brook lost and destroyed Whataburger."
Some commentators quickly dismissed the idea that only one school was to blame for the mess, and one of them – probably from Clear Brook – said "[Clear] Lake started when people were throwing packets of ketchup and warming sleeves. "
Other answers on social media called the students "childish" and said that they were "Mak[ing] Houston looks bad, " while others simply lamented the work of the restaurant's cleaning staff.
A representative of Whataburger was not immediately available to comment, nor to find out how many lemon pies or Dr. Peppers had been lost in the incident.

Oddly enough, this is not the first time a Whataburger has been used as a frame for a huge fight for food. In 2013, rival high schools in San Antonio left the restaurant covered with food and garbage following a match between Brandeis High and O & # 39; Connor, KENS-5 reported. The school system said it would take disciplinary action after the fight.
