Dotson posted a video on his Facebook page this month to share the story told to him. Dotson said that a woman had approached him at an event and told him that a man for whom her husband was working had bought a storage unit in Dotson for $ 500. in October. There was a safe in the storage unit and, after two attempts, the safe was opened. It contained $ 7.5 million in cash.
The lawyer of the former owners of the storage unit contacted the new owner, said Dotson. After being originally offered $ 600,000 for the return of the safe's contents, the new owner has accepted a $ 1.2 million reward, said Dotson.
For security and privacy reasons, no additional details regarding the owner have been revealed, reported The Sun Desert.
