A man who fumbled a woman during a robbery told the authorities after his arrest that "the President of the United States says it is acceptable to seize women by their private parts", according to an FBI complaint.
The passenger, Bruce Michael Alexander, was probably referring to Donald Trump's remark in an infamous "Access Hollywood" recording of 2005 that he could seize women "by the cat".
The complaint, filed Monday, alleges that Mr. Alexander "made abusive sexual contact" with a passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight between Texas and New Mexico "by touching the passenger's breast without his permission".
The passenger accused Alexander – who was sitting in the row behind her – of having touched her "no less than three times," recounting that she had seen "a hand that had thick fingers, fingernails." and dirty ".
The first incident occurred at the beginning of the flight when the woman – who had fallen asleep – felt her clothes move "and a touch of her fingers on her right side at her" bra line ".
About 30 minutes later, the woman said, she felt Alexander again catch the back of his arm before slowly groping his right side.
The flight attendants then reinstalled the passenger.
In a statement to HuffPost, Southwest Airlines said that in light of this incident, the airline "constantly reviews and updates" the training of staff "as needed".
Alexander appeared in federal court in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday and is still being held in a federal prison pending a preliminary hearing and a detention hearing, both scheduled for Tuesday.
If he is found guilty, he incurs a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment and a fine of $ 250,000.
