MEXICO – A Mexican who confessed to killing at least 10 women said that he would kill again when he was released because he hated women and prosecutors were investigating the possibility that he would be killed. he sold the bones of some of his victims.

It was only the last element of a grim list of details revealed in the case of the serial killer of the poor borough of Ecatepec, just north of Mexico City, after the capture of 39, a couple in possession of dismembered human remains in a landau.

A video released Tuesday on social media showed the suspect answering questions from a doctor at a police station. Authorities have only identified the man as being Juan Carlos; in Mexico, a doctor assigned to a police station normally makes the first rough estimate of the mental and physical condition of a suspect.

In the video, the suspect sits in a chair near the doctor, handcuffed. Wearing a t-shirt and jeans, he alternates between responding calmly and politely, pitying himself and crying softly.

"Tell the" bosses "once and for all that if I go out, I will continue to kill women (…) because of the hatred I have for them," he said.

He claimed to have been abused by women while he was a boy and said at one point: "I prefer that my dogs eat the meat of these women rather than continuing to breathe my oxygen."

The chief prosecutor of the State of Mexico, where Ecatepec is located, confirmed the authenticity of the video, saying "that it is a piece of evidence rendered public "and the appellant" a leak by a traitor ".

Part of the confession of the man may have to be taken with a grain of salt; he had previously confessed to killing 20 women, but Gomez said he was able to provide details – names and descriptions of victims – in just 10 cases.

Gomez said the authorities were investigating whether the man had actually sold the bones of some of his victims to Santeria practitioners, a belief that began in Cuba when African slaves mixed their Yoruba spiritual beliefs with Catholic traditions. The suspect said he sold the bones to a man he met at a bus stop.

"We have a line of investigation on one or two people in the area who might have bought them," Gomez said.

The alleged Facebook profile, according to local media, by the suspect was made up mostly of satanic images and related to the Santa Muerte, a skeletal female figure revered by a cult in Mexico, which was favored by petty criminals, traffickers drug and the poor.

Some details of his confession were corroborated by evidence. The investigators found heaps or sacks of heavily decomposed human tissue at the three places where he had told the police that he had thrown away the remains. The remains have been so decomposed that tests are in progress to determine the age, sex and number of victims.

The man stated that he was sexually assaulted at age 10 by a babysitter and claimed that his mother was unfaithful and tried to stab his father.

The suspect is heard in the video saying that he killed women "with all the pleasure".

"I cleaned the world of dirt," he said.
