A neurosurgeon in Canada is undergoing viral treatment after photos of him performing an "operation" on his young patient's teddy bear have been posted on Twitter. Dr. Daniel McNeely, who has been treating Jackson McKie since he was 8 years old, said he could not refuse his young patient's request to treat Little Baby before he had his own surgery.
"A patient is asking me if I can also fix a teddy bear just before I fall asleep … how could I say no?" McNeely, of IWK Health Care in Halifax, posted, with pictures of McKie's teddy bear wearing a tiny "oxygen mask" of his own.
McNeely told the BBC that he had diagnosed the teddy bear with a tear under the armpit and that he was being photographed sewing it. As for McKie, he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus when he was a baby and was preparing to have his shunt repaired.

"He was so proud. He had Little Baby fall asleep in his hospital bed and all, "said Richard, McKie's father, at CBC News. "It made us feel better about being there."
McNeely's Post has received more than 13,000 retweets and more than 28,000 "likes" since taking office on September 30th. He told CBC News that he hoped it would make a man smile.

Richard McKie told the media that both patients were recovering, although his son reports that Little Baby is "a little sullen".
