A plane makes an emergency landing near Addison Airport for engine problems

A single – engine aircraft had to land urgently near Addison 's municipal airport after engine problems, according to the FAA.

Farmer 's Branch police confirmed the presence of two people inside the aircraft but none were injured.

The plane was on its way to Waco from Addison when it started having mechanical problems.

The pilot was able to deploy the emergency parachute and the aircraft stopped in a field approximately 1.5 miles from the airport.

The FAA will investigate this incident.
