"More than one in 20 deaths in 2016 – three million people, mostly men – was caused by a harmful consumption of alcohol, according to a report released Friday by the World Health Organization. (WHO). … The WHO Global Report on Alcohol and Health, published in 2018, found that of all alcohol-related deaths, 28% were due to injuries (traffic accidents, self-injury and violence); 21% were due to digestive disorders; and the rest has been caused by cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, cancers, mental disorders and other health problems … "(9/21).
