A retired police officer is assaulted and his wife, 71, is a victim of sexual assault during a home invasion in Brooklyn

A 71-year-old woman was sexually assaulted and her husband, a retired police lieutenant, was attacked with a blade during a brutal invasion in Brooklyn on Monday, police said.

The intruders remained free Monday night and their mobile was unknown, the police said.
