A Romanesque novelist accused of murdering her husband allegedly wrote an essay: "How to murder your husband"

Years before 68-year-old Nancy Crampton-Brophy murdered her husband, she reportedly wrote an essay titled "How to Murder Your Husband".

A novelist arrested last week in Oregon for alleged murder of her husband in a culinary school last June reportedly wrote an essay titled "How to Murder Your Husband".

Nancy Crampton-Brophy, 68, reportedly killed her husband, Daniel Brophy, 63, at the Oregon Culinary Institute on June 2.

Crampton-Brophy, a novelist who has several books for sale on Amazon, wrote in 2011 a 700-word essay on ways to "kill your husband," reported The Oregonian.

On a protected WordPress site titled "See Jane Publish," the media said Crampton-Brophy had detailed his thoughts on the murder in the trial. "As a romantic thriller, I spend a lot of time thinking about murder and, therefore, police procedure," she wrote.

"After all, if assassination is supposed to free me, I certainly do not want to spend time in jail," the author wrote, noting that "divorce is expensive".

Crampton-Brophy would have written that she "finds[s] it is easier to wish people death than to actually kill them. I do not want to worry about blood and brains splattered on my walls. And really, I'm not good at remembering lies. "

"But what I know about the murder is that everyone has it in their possession when they pushed it far enough," she added.

A biography on the author's website indicates that his books "deal with pretty strong men and women, families who do not always work and the joy of finding love and hardship to the make".

Neighbors told the newspaper that after allegedly killing her husband, Cramphy-Brophy did not seem affected by his death and said the police considered her a suspect.

Crampton-Brophy reportedly appeared in court for murder and unlawful use of a firearm.
