SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) – A large white shark was filmed off Point Loma. The woman who shot the video wonders if this is the same shark that attacked a teenager last month at Beacon's Beach.
The shark captured on the video was spotted Wednesday about ten miles from Point Loma's shoreline by Caren Charleston of Escondido. "I've been fishing for more than 15 years and have not seen a big white shark yet."
Caren and her husband were fishing on their boat when the shark started to surround them. "When my husband said that it was a big white, I said, I want my camera."

Caren grabbed her GoPro, got stuck in the water and started filming. She was not sure what the camera would capture, but it turned out that she captured two quick snapshots of the passing shark. The Great White was about ten feet long.
Caren now wonders if this is the same player as Keane Weber Hayes, 13, at Encinitas two weeks ago.
