IS HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) –
An officer involved in a gun battle near 101 Freeway closed all southbound lanes in East Hollywood on Sunday.
Los Angeles police confirmed that the shooting occurred near the Santa Monica exit of the highway, but it did not say whether shots had been fired.
101 South of Melrose Avenue southbound is closed for investigation. It is not known when all the lanes will reopen.
Los Angeles police authorities are on the spot looking for a suspect who would be in the secure perimeter.
We do not know yet what led to the shooting.
