The man accused of shooting two women in a Florida yoga studio on Friday night reportedly had a history of arrests for allegedly groping women. Police said Scott Paul Beierle, 40, committed suicide at the Hot Yoga Tallahassee after shooting six people, two of them deadly, and killing a seventh gunman. The two murdered people, Nancy Van Vessem, 61, and Maura Binkley, 21, were affiliated with Florida State University, the first as a faculty member and the second as a student. The Leon County Court Records show that Beierle was arrested in 2012 on charges of battery for misdemeanor, after allegedly seizing the buttocks of two women from Florida State University, the source said. Tallahassee Democrat. He was arrested again in 2016 for similar charges after another woman accused him of having slapped and caught by the buttocks near the pool of a building where he was lived. Prosecutors finally dropped the charges against Beierle in both cases, without knowing immediately why. A LinkedIn profile suspected of belonging to Beierle indicates that he attended Florida State University from 2011 to 2013. It was not clear right away whether Van Vessem and Binkley knew Beierle or were involved in his previous arrests. The police have not yet determined the reason for the shooting.
