CHICAGO, IL (KTRK) –
A Southwest Airlines flight to Houston from Chicago was delayed after a passenger was removed from the aircraft for shouting racial slurs to flight attendants.
Witnesses testified that the woman was angry with the flight attendant when asked to set up her table to prepare for take-off.
In the video recorded by another passenger, you can see the woman using a graphic language and pronounce the word -N.
Southwest Airlines issued the following statement to ABC13:
Our reports indicate that on flight # 5593 connecting Chicago Midway to Houston Hobby on a regular basis, a customer refused to comply with the instructions of our flight crew after boarding and prior to take-off from Chicago. The client became undisciplined and verbally abused our flight attendants and the decision was made to return to the door to disembark the client, where she was greeted by local law enforcement officers. Our employees have handled the situation with professionalism and elegance, and we do not tolerate or tolerate such profane and unruly behavior on board our aircraft. Once the plane landed, the flight resumed for Houston Hobby and arrived about an hour later than expected.
ABC13 has scrambled the passenger's face as she was not charged.
