In the A star is born cinematic universe, is it safe to assume that Jackson Maine has surpassed the Billboard charts at one time or another? Whatever the case may be, we can now be assured of knowing that their counterparts in the real world …Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, as if you did not know it, you've just had their own album. The soundtrack of A star is born debuted at # 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, according to the music media, marking Gaga's fifth # 1 album this decade and, shockingly, Cooper's debut.
The new Gaga album makes her the best female artist to have reached the number of No. 1 albums of this decade. Taylor Swift (who has four) The album moved the equivalent of 231,000 units in the week of October 5 to 11; of this sum, 162,000 were on sale. Per Billboard is the biggest release week of a soundtrack in over three and a half years, beating a record previously held by the first Fifty shades of Grey album, which debuted at No. 2 in 2015 with 258,000 units. According to Billboard, A.S.I.B. is already the third best-selling soundtrack of the year, behind the absolutely crazy successes of The biggest showman (which, although published in 2017, sold 1.26 million units in 2018, out of a total of 1.35 million) and Black Panther: The album (which sold 223,000 units).
In the blink of an eye history, it is also the second A star is born soundtrack to go No. 1. The 1977 version, featuring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, was the best album for six weeks from February 12 to March 19, 1977, notes Billboard.
The version of Cooper and Gaga has held the historic series well, garnering rave reviews and, so far, $ 135 million at the global box office. This is already the favorite expected in many categories at the Oscars next year, including the best actress, the best actor, the best original song (probably for "Shallow", although the ballad "I & Never Love Again "has potential), and -Duh – better picture. The film has also earned this extremely long and serious Instagram legend of Anne Hathaway, which is a price in itself. It's the movie to beat in every way!
