DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – The closure of Emory Decatur Hospital (formerly known as DeKalb Medical Center) was lifted after a man who had barricaded himself in a truck went to the police.
Michael Seiden from Channel 2 was on the scene Saturday night when dozens of police vehicles circled a closed truck behind the radiotherapy and oncology building.
Seiden spoke to a contractor who said that he was painting outside the emergency room when a man broke out and claimed that people pursued him.
The man is then climbed into the truck of the contractor.
The police managed to convince the man of the truck and he is in custody.

Huge police presence at the Dekalb Medical Center. A spokesperson for the Dekalb Police Department tells me it is a "barricaded subject". It is difficult to know if this is happening inside the hospital. Work for additional details. @j_booker pic.twitter.com/G1HUnFkunp– Michael Seiden (@SeidenWSBTV) November 3, 2018

This is the scene outside Dekalb Medical (2701 N Decatur Rd.) SWAT came down on the hospital. Police say they deal with "a barricaded subject". It is not known if someone is injured, but the hospital was locked up. pic.twitter.com/3EiwnnOhq0– Michael Seiden (@SeidenWSBTV) November 3, 2018
