A video shows an inviolable foliage in Utah as the color of autumn begins to explode

While the concept of a fall may seem foreign to residents of the eastern United States, where it has been subjected to unusually warm weather, a cool autumnal climate has echoed across the western mountain and the foliage begins to explode.

Last week, videographer Justin McFarland captured stunning shades of yellow, orange and red in the Ogden Valley, Utah, using a drone flying over the dazzling landscape.

The high altitude areas in the west of the mountain have colors ranging from crest to almost peak, but as you head east, the progression of the color is somewhat delayed this year.

In northern Maine, which often has an almost peak color at the beginning of October, the foliage shows considerable shades of green – as indicated by a tweet from the National Weather Service:

It turns out that the average temperatures in northern Maine in the last three months have been the hottest ever recorded.

A color delay is also visible in the high altitudes of the center of the Atlantic coastline, as clearly shown by these images of Mount Mitchell, NC, comparing 2018 and 2013:

The general feeling is that the foliage is about a week behind normal in the east. But as long as the color of autumn will be delayed, this will not be denied.

The foliage network indicates that the Columbus Day weekend will offer "beautiful colors and promising weather conditions" for leaves in northern New England, especially in the mountains.

It will take more patience further south, from western North Carolina to western Maryland via West Virginia. "The color change continues slowly throughout the region," writes the Foliage Network. "The only places showing any degree of color are those along the Appalachian Range. The color change remains weak (change from 11% to 30%). "More colors should begin to appear in this region by the middle of the month.

One of the most underrated areas for fall color is the Upper Midwest, especially around the Great Lakes, where foliage is often spectacular. The Foliage Network reports that bright colors are beginning to appear in the hills of northern Wisconsin and that more colors are expected to appear in the area this weekend.
