Terry knows that naps are not just for cats.

The volunteer at the Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary stops every day at the Wisconsin-based cat sanctuary, without killing, to do what he loves: cats with a brush.

According to sanctuary founder Elizabeth Feldhausen, Terry arrived at the shrine six months ago and said he would like to brush the cats. Since then, Terry has come every day to brush Safe Haven's feline residents for three hours, many of whom have physical or psychological disabilities.

Often, brushing a sleeping feline soothes Terry's sleep. Cats do not complain; instead, they take this opportunity to get quality hugs.

"I would describe him as a really kind and humble person. He's like a grandfather for us all and for cats, "says Feldhausen at PEOPLE of Terry.

He's also becoming a social media superstar. A recent Facebook publication on Terry's devotion to cats and naps he takes with more than 11,000 animal lover actions.

Although Terry seems to be sleeping at work, these naps are important for cats. Spending time with volunteers like Terry allows felines to become more socialized and therefore more attractive to potential adopters.

In addition, with all the time he spends with them, Terry can now tell Safe Haven employees the likes and dislikes of each cat, important things to know to keep the kitties comfortable while they wait for their home for always.

You can help Terry and all of Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary save felines by donating to their work on this site.
