Top Trump's economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, said Wednesday that one of his White House colleagues called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau "a little punk kid at the head of Canada," according to The Washington examine.
Kudlow made the comment Wednesday night, while discussing the Trump administration's efforts on the economy and its aggressive stance in trade negotiations, the reviewer reported.
"One of my friends at the White House, who will not be named, said:" You know, I know why you support this deal, Larry, it's because we've reached an agreement. We did not leave late, we had an agreement, all right. "Despite this little punk kid who runs Canada, we've always done it," said Kudlow, referring to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
"And I had some excellent clashes with him."
Kudlow did not name the manager and it was difficult to know where the economic advisor had made these comments.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.
