A wild shuttle to Queen Mary lets passengers out through the windows: "We are going to be kidnapped"

The passengers of a shuttle to Queen Mary on Thursday night were taken on a wild and terrifying tour. Long Beach police said Friday that the driver was "simply lost".

Dozens of people boarded a shuttle to get from the Pacific Aquarium to Queen Mary, a one and a half mile trip, for the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor event. .

The trip took a dramatic turn when the passengers began to think they were being kidnapped while their bus was heading in the wrong direction – and the driver did not want to stop.

"He was not answering anyone," said passenger Ashia Souder. "And I thought to myself, we're going to be kidnapped."

"We were all trying to get off the bus by telling him to stop, to let us go and that he did not stop," Piatelli said.

While less than a 10-minute drive from the Pike parking lot, located near the Pacific Aquarium to the Queen Mary, lasted nearly 30 minutes and had entered the city of Carson, a passenger begged for the driver's convenience. 39; stop.

Some had called 911 around 8 pm report that they had been kidnapped. Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies and Long Beach police arrived shortly thereafter.

Long Beach Police said that the 60-year-old driver, who was working for a private company hired to transport customers to the event, was disoriented because of the street closures and had lost himself .

The man who claimed to have been assaulted by the driver during the incident had signed an arrest by an individual for battery, police said. The driver told the police that a verbal brawl had occurred earlier, when the man had tried to get on the bus with alcohol uncovered.

The driver was stopped, booked on a battery charge, and then released.
