CLEVELAND, Ohio – The woman accused of killing and then kidnapping the father of her two children was arrested Tuesday morning in the city's west end, police said in Cleveland.

Police arrested Arriel Bryant, 28, at a parent's home on Lorain Avenue, near 140th Street West. Her two children – aged 8 and 4 – were with her and without injury, the police said. Bryant and her children were the subject of an Amber Alert that triggered a manhunt for her and her children.

She is accused of aggravated murder after the death of the father of the children, Richard Kelley, 30 years old.

The two fought over at 8:30 pm Monday at Kelley's Alahambra Avenue in the Collinwood neighborhood, the police said. Bryant shot Kelley repeatedly, killing him.

Cuyahoga County spokeswoman Mary Louise Madigan said the county's child and family services had no open file with Bryant.

Bryant was arrested on August 2 by Cleveland Metroparks guards for possessing marijuana at East 55th Street Marina. These charges were dropped on Aug. 29 because prosecutors were prosecuting crimes, according to court documents.

In 2009, she was convicted of obstructing justice in connection with the armed robbery and shooting of a man on the Bunnell Court in Cleveland. She was sentenced to one year probation in this case. His boyfriend then was sentenced to eight years in prison for stealing and shooting.
