A Texas woman filed a one million dollar lawsuit against a local buffet restaurant, claiming that she got the "Fried Rice Syndrome" after eating on the spot.
Germaine Mobley, 62, had gone to eat at Buffett's Asian King in Waxahachie, Texas, in 2016.

The woman "bought and consumed fried rice" according to court documents obtained by KHOU-11.
"Everything was good," she says. "After eating, I started not feeling well on my way home.
The native of Corsicana, Texas, said her health quickly deteriorated when she returned home.
She said: "I just started to throw up. The next morning, I had difficulty breathing, so my husband called an ambulance.
The Court's documents indicate that "because of the consumption of the fried rice in question, Mobley ingested Bacillus cereus".
Bacillus cereus is a bacterium that produces toxins and is common in foods that have been at room temperature for extended periods of time.
