TRENTON, N.J.- The woman who took pictures of a former "Cosby Show" star while working at a Trader Joe's in New Jersey says she cried half an hour after the social media came back against the photos that would have "scared" the actor. Many celebrities defended Geoffrey Owens and pointed out that many actors had to work days between two roles.

Karma Lawrence told NJ.com that she took the photos by impulse and that she did not want to hurt Owens. She closed her social media accounts after her photos were posted on the news sites and she received a wave of negative responses.

"So much hate, so much nastiness, oh, that was terrible," said Lawrence. "They write that Karma is a b *** h, that's bad."

Lawrence said that she did not think deeply about the possible repercussions when she took the picture, and that it was not out of spite. She said that she was not paid for the photo.

"I do not know why I took a picture," said the 50-year-old grandmother. "I thought everybody was doing it, I do not know what possessed me, I just did it, I did not even think about it, I just did it on impulse and it was a bad impulse. " She added that she loved her character in "The Cosby Show" and if she saw Owens again, she would say that she was "extremely, extremely sorry about what happened".

Owens played Elvin Tibideaux, the eldest daughter of Bill Cosby's character on television. The photos showed him to a register scanning objects at a New Jersey Trader. Joe's was complete with a "Geoffrey" badge, but he was no longer working there.

The attention of the media has had its advantages. Tyler Perry took on Twitter with an offer of employment, saying: "#GeoffreyOwens I am about to start filming the number one OWN next week! Come join us !!! I have so much respect for people jostling each other.
