A woman was filmed last week screaming obscenities at a Spanish-speaking family in a Virginia restaurant.

The incident took place Wednesday at Andy's, a restaurant in the small town of Lovettsville – 2,000 inhabitants – for almost 30 years. The location is about 50 miles northwest of Washington, in Loudoun County.

In the video, the woman, who looks white, shouts, "Show me your passports" while the family is eating.

The video was recorded by a Guatemalan who shared it with Telemundo 44, according to BuzzFeed News. She said she registered it because she thought that those who face racist incidents should talk about it.

The woman who cries to the family has not been identified. She cursed and, at one point, said, "Go back to your country. You do not come here and freeload on America. "

A spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said the deputy ministers responded to the restaurant after receiving a call from a client.

The group's spokesperson, Kraig Troxell, said the restaurant manager had asked the screaming woman to leave, what she did. Nobody was arrested.

The restaurant managers were not immediately available to comment on Tuesday.

On Facebook, Andy's wrote a detailed response to the woman who shouted after the family. The answer was entitled "Thank you to a former customer".

In his message, Andy's said, "Thank you for understanding that you have the right to express your venomous views and vitriolis – as odious and ignorant as they are – in accordance with the First Amendment to the US Constitution. "

He then added, "Thank you for disrupting the rights of those who enjoyed an evening of camaraderie in a confined public space. . . . Thank you for giving Andy's employees the opportunity to demonstrate the common law precepts behind this First Amendment, which indicate that although you have the right to declare your views despicable, you also have the obligation to bear the consequences. "

The message ends with "Thank you – and we hear it with all the respect you deserve – never to return to Andy's. You are not welcome. "

The message received several responses on Facebook.

David Lindberg wrote, "Thank you, Andy, for being a righteous light in a time of bitter darkness. We will win. Tom Host wrote: "A brilliant answer to ignorance! "And Laurie Adams wrote," Well done! Thank you for supporting this family and showing everyone how to oppose racism. "
