Police investigate after a 51-year-old woman was shot dead Wednesday afternoon at a chiropractic office in Burien.
Police responded to the shooting around 3:20 pm Wednesday. At around 3:30 pm, police said that one woman had died. The deputies of the King County Sheriff said she was hit by a bullet that was lost in a shootout.
They say that a car full of people stopped in the 15200 block of First Avenue South. Someone inside has opened fire on another person on the sidewalk.
A bullet went through the window of a nearby chiropractic office, killing the clerk.
Sgt. Sheriff Sergeant Ryan Abbott said the four suspects were in a car that accelerated. They have no suspicious information right now.
Burien police say First Ave. S. around SW 152nd St. will be closed during the investigation.
