Gray's departure took place on August 25 in Baltimore, where he made 6 ½ innings of white play in a 5-1 win. Between the starts, Gray abandoned the two rounds of September 4 against the Tigers.
Andrew McCutchen's third round was his 20th of the season. This is the eighth consecutive year that McCutchen has hit at least 20 homers.
